Children and Families

Following your betrothals to one another, you can bring children as well as the families of the Bride and Groom into your ceremony with simple blessings as follows.

(Before the exchange of rings, the minister speaks)

Do you, who represent their families, rejoice in their union and pray God’s blessing upon them?

Bride's and Groom's parents:  "We do rejoice and pray."

Do you, (children's names), rejoice in their union and pray God’s blessing upon them?

Children:  "We love both of you and we bless your marriage.  Together we are a family."
